Caucus Training Dec 6th

Monroe County Democrats will be hosting a caucus training for precinct chairs and anyone else who would like to know more about the caucus on Dec 6. at 5pm in the Monroe County Courthouse. Please attend if you are interested.

Joe Biden visits Albia

On Sat. 11/24 Senator Joe Biden made a stop at the White Buffalo. That makes four Dem. presidental candidates that have made a stop in the last couple of months.

Sorry for the lack of action in the past month. There has been some exciting events in Albia and more are coming up.
First: Senator Joe Biden will be making a stop on Sat. 11/24/07. He will be at the White Buffalo at 2:30pm.
Also Senator Barack Obama was in Albia on 11/8/07 for a quick lunch stop at Smitty's.

A few weeks earlier Governor Richardson stop for breakfast and Mom's Place

and Senator Edwards made a stop at the High School.

I hope those candidates that have yet to see Albia will have a chance before the caucus and we welcome any candidate that wants to make a return trip to Albia.

John Edwards Bus Tour

The John Edwards "One America BuS Tour" will be traveling throuh Southern Iowa Aug 16th and 17th.
On Thursday the 16th the bus will roll in to Oskaloosa in the afternoon and finish the day in Ottumwa. They will begin their day on the 17th in Centerville at the Blue Bird Restaurant and then travel to Bloomfield.

Beau Biden to be in Albia

Sat Aug 11
Beau Biden -Delware Atty. General and son of Presidential candidate Joe Biden - will be in Albia to visit with Monroe Co. Dems about his fathers campaign. The meeting will begin at 10am at the White Buffalo Restaurant on Hwy 34.

Upcoming Monroe County Dems Central Committe Meeting

On August 8th the Monroe County Central Committee will meet at 4:30 pm in the Monroe County Courthouse.
